If so, do you cook the chicken first and then add the shrimp? How long do you cook each of these meats for anyway (the chicken is sliced VERY thin)? And just how long does fresh shrimp keep in the fridge? How long do these items keep AFTER you’ve cooked them?

A good friend of mine lost his wife back in October she was 37 yrs old. Apparently her family is very dysfunctional and as a result he is now raising three kids(1 biological and two step children) on his own(youngest child is his – ages are 5, 11 and 15). I feel so bad that he has found himself in this situation at the young age of 37. He is a very private person but has opened up to me about some very personal things and my heart is bleeding for him. I am also a single parent to an 11 yr old boy so I understand exactly what he is going through. I would like to help in some way what can I do to really make a difference? I mean neither of us a lot of money but I know there must be something that I can do to lessen the stress. The holidays are coming and the kids are sad… I can see it in their eyes. I was thinking to make dinner for them and drop it off tomorrow becos he has said several times that he doesn’t know how to cook.
Please help…
I bought 2 packages of collard greens. I also bought a little pack of diced ham. to cook with the greens…help! How long shall I cook the collard greens and what should I add from my herb garden? Thank you in advance.
Shall I cook the collards in water or chicken broth for flavor?
Before my dad got married to my mom, he claimed that all he ate were sandwiches because he never knew how to cook. He never learned how to cook after all these years. He can’t even do something simple like brew a cup of coffee. My mom has to do it for him. He can’t even do something simple like like heat up frozen food in the oven. He can’t even cook rice on a rice cooker, which is so simple.
He doesn’t know how to do any type of cooking whatsoever. Why can’t he learn?? Is it THAT hard for some people?
Well, its thanksgiving time and I’m planning to cook chicken instead of turkey. I have my nu wave oven set but I’m not sure how long to cook the chicken for ? I’m trying to find the cooking chart but I’ve seem to have lost it ? If anyone could get a copy to it then send me the link please. Thank you (;
I’m cooking Carne Adovada, which is a mexican dish of just pork marinated in red chile. The local butcher sells the raw pork already marinated ready to cool. I just want to know how long I should cook it for. Also, if you happen to know how I can cook that in the oven? -BTW I live in New Mexico, lots of mexican food here ![]()
Above, it should say the local butcher sells it “all ready to cook,” not “all ready to cool.”
I bought some frozen egg rolls from the supermarket and I’d like to find a way to cook them without having to boil them in oil. Been having too much oily food and am ready to start eating healthier. Can I perhaps bake the frozen eggrolls? Would really appreciate info on how to cook these things to perfection without too much oil.
